The Roofing Process
A lot of roofing companies do not do all of the required and necessary steps involved in putting together a complete roof system. Our jobs consist of the following:
Everyone arrives at the job between 7 and 8 o’clock.
We begin tearing off the roof and stack all of our trash on the roof. We carry all of the trash directly from the roof to the dumpster. Once all the trash is thrown away and the roof is down to the plywood we begin re-nailing the plywood every six inches with 8d ringshank nails to bring it up to code. Then we dry the roof in with 30 pound felt paper, we nail the bottoms with one inch plastic top simplex every six inches and stagger the middle every twelve inches. After this step the city will come and do the required inspections.
Then we install the eave drip around the perimeter, install roofing adhesive to all of the eave drip to proved for better anchoring of the shingles on the edges and bottoms. Then we install starter strips for extra protection along the bottoms. We pop all lines to make sure everything is straight and then we begin shingling. Our valleys have 26 gave valley metal installed, all of our vents have starter strips along the top of them for extra protection, on every penetration or flashing. We use adequate amounts of adhesive to ensure no leaks. We six nail every shingles to give you maximum wind resistance also.
At the end of the job we clean everything to make sure it is just as clean aswhen we arrived and we run the nail magnets to pick up the loose nails that may have fallen. The city inspectors will come out again to do the final inspection once completed. Our dumpsters are removed the following day.
We realize knowing how to build a successful relationship with our clients is just as important as knowing how to install a quality roof. Our dedication to customer satisfaction has been the key to our success.

Roofing or re-roofing your home is a great investment. You’ll want to make sure you are choosing the right roofer for your house and your budget.
Roofing is responsible for several important functions. Most importantly, it serves as the structural support of your home. In addition, the roof controls water ingress, air flow, water vapor diffusion, heat flow, and offers surface protection. However, in order for a roof to function properly, the right roof materials and components in the assembly must be selected based on the properties that make them suitable for these various tasks.
The price of a new roof system varies widely, depending on such things as the materials selected, contractor doing the work, location, local labor rates and time of year. It is important to keep in mind that for each roofing material, there are different grades and corresponding prices. There also are a variety of roof styles and shapes to choose from. You need to look at the full product range and make a choice based on your budget and needs.
Roof repairs are often made after the damage has been done; however, if you keep up on routine roof maintenance you can avoid unnecessary damage altogether. Our roofing section tells you what roofing styles and materials are popular, how to winterize and waterproof your roof, how to apply new shingles, how to make minor roof repairs, and when it’s time to forgo the repairs yourself and call a professional roofer.
New Roof Systems- Tear off and Recovers
Re-roofing is the process of installing a new roof when a roofing system fails. Roofing system failures can be caused by a number of factors, including age, severe weather, poor workmanship, defective materials, improper specification of a roofing system, abuse and failure to maintain the roof via inspections.
Repair is a process where an existing roofing system has additions and adjustments made to it, such as caulking, re-coating and repairing penetration to fix leaks in the roofing system. We offer repairs for Homeowners, Real Estate Agents and Insurance claims.
Restoration involves the major repair of the roof system, including the repair of all penetrations and resurfacing of the roof to restore it to serviceable condition. The opportunity to perform restoration work normally exists two or three years prior to the roofs end of its life cycle and before significant damage occurs. The cost of restoration is typically one half of the cost of re-roofing. We employ a team that has specialty training to be able to identify and correct major deficiencies in roof systems prior to replacement. This process can include coatings, re-flashings and modern design modifications.
Maintenance involves the physical inspection of an existing roofing system to determine it’s current condition, detect weakness and failures and identify any potential future problems. Through a program of regularly scheduled annual or semiannual inspections, the company’s technicians assist the owner in protecting their roofing investments by seeking to identify damage in its early stages. Early detection of leaks and roof system failures make it possible for the company to repair and extend the life of a roof system through repair or restoration, which is significantly less expensive and time consuming than re-roofing.
